The NAR 2011 Experience: Real Estate Recognizes Mobile

Just returned to the office after the NAR Conference in Anaheim and what a show it was!  The Smarter Agent booth had a steady flow of traffic all 4 days and REALTORS® from all over the country are starting to embrace mobile marketing technologies.  There certainly is a gap between those who are ahead of the curve and those who still do not understand how mobile real estate marketing will enhance their brand identity and also empower their clients. 

I did have some time to walk the show floor myself and look at other vendor’s booths.  One thing that surprised me was how many vendors were giving away iPads & iPhones.  This seemed to be an easy give-away items since just about everyone wants one or the other – or both!  You almost had to bring an extra sleeve of business cards just to enter everyone’s contest.  The point is that everyone & everything is going mobile and offering a premium mobile real estate tool as a prize is enticing to all.  Smarter Agent was not offering a mobile device as a give-away, we were giving away an app, that is a native app that will work on all mobile platforms.  Our White Label app, the prize, will get you into the major app stores and will download with your icon onto the screen of the phones.

So the point is that it seems like everyone is recognizing that mobile is important, but in different ways.  Most vendors recognized this by giving away something that uses mobile apps, Smarter Agent is offering you a way to get your own BRANDED mobile real estate app. Is your brand mobile?
