#1 Way Realtors Learn about technology is via their colleagues – see why this Agent had to have a mobile product
According to the National Association of Realtors, the #1 way Realtors learn about the best new technologies is via their colleagues. With that in mind, Smarter Agent decided to launch the ‘Refer a Friend’ program where each client that refers a friend to Smarter Agent has a chance to win $250, and a free month of their own branded app. This month’s winner is Kevin Dickenson from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
We reached out to Kevin to see what his thoughts are on the importance of going mobile, and why he thought his fellow agents should also get their own mobile app. This is what he told us:
- I review the analytics on Realtor.com quite often and discovered that over 50% of the people viewing my listings are using their phones. An app provides an opportunity to capture more business and the monthly cost is far lower than my website.
- When I’m with a new client, I can say “put my app on your phone so you can see what homes are selling for while you are house hunting on your own.” I want my customer to have my app, not Realtor.com app on their phone. I send the customer the app link while I’m with them to make sure it’s installed properly and walk them through how it works.
- I can put the app link on my yard signs, on all of my websites (I have 10), example www.marina-grande.com, and in my email signature line.
