What software versions is MRIS Homes available on?
The MRIS Homes mobile app is available on OS 4.2 and above for BlackBerry.
When I try to do a GPS search, I receive the following error message:
“We’re sorry, phone was not able to pinpoint your location.” What should I do?
If you receive this error message, please ensure you are outside when performing the GPS search, with a clear line to the sky. All carriers (except for Sprint) require this in order for your location to be found.
“GPS is currently unavailable“
If you receive this error message, please first check your GPS settings by following these instructions.
1. Go to ‘Options’ from the main menu of your BlackBerry (the wrench-shaped icon).
2. Select ‘Device.’
3. Select ‘Location Settings.’
4. Verify that the ‘GPS Data Source’ is set to ‘Device GPS.’
5. Please also ensure that ‘Location Service’ is set to ‘Location On.’
If you continue to receive this error message after checking your GPS settings, please then check your permission settings for the application by following these instructions. Permission settings may require different steps depending on the OS (operating system), so the two different methods of checking your permissions are separated below by OS.
• OS older than 6.0
1. Go to ‘Options’ from your main menu (the wrench-shaped icon).
2. Select ‘Advanced Options.’
3. Select ‘Applications.’
4. Select the application name you are checking permissions for.
5. Press the BlackBerry key (the key with the 7 tiny dots) and select ‘Edit Permissions.’
6. Ensure that all permissions read ‘Allow.’
• OS 6.0 and newer
1. Go to ‘Options’ from your home screen (the wrench-shaped icon).
2. Select ‘Device.’
3. Select ‘Application Management.’
4. Select the application name you are checking permissions for.
5. Press the BlackBerry key (the key with the 7 tiny dots) and select ‘Edit Permissions.’
6. Ensure that all permissions read ‘Allow.’
