Smarter Agent usage doubles in 2013

According to MSN Real Estate’s article “7 Top Housing Trends in 2013”, 2013 was the year of rising home prices, bidding wars and growth in the use of mobile to connect buyers, sellers and real estate professionals.

We couldn’t agree more. In 2013, Smarter Agent saw close to 100% growth in user sessions on our platform. That includes over 15 million log-ins to our realtor apps in 2013. Smarter Agent powers franchises, independent brokers, MLSs and their agents’ mobile real estate apps for all platforms, which enable real estate professionals and their clients to search for available properties from their mobile device whether it be an iPhone, iPad, Android device and even Windows tablets. Because the apps use MLS data, the information is 100% accurate and up-to-date. When the user finds a property they love, they can quickly and easily get in touch with a real estate professional with the tap of a button.

“We’re excited to be able to partner with franchises, brokers and MLSs to provide today’s buyers and sellers with access to accurate listing information on their mobile device,” said Smarter Agent CMO Philip Charles-Pierre. “The growth in user sessions in 2013 speaks to how hungry the industry is for information on-the-go and available anywhere and the important role Smarter Agent is playing in filling that need”

A study by the National Association of REALTORS and Google also supports the fact that the use of mobile apps is becoming an increasingly popular way for buyers and sellers to find their next home. Of those surveyed, 68% of home shoppers reported using mobile apps at some point during their real estate search.
