The Huntsville Area Association of Realtors and North Alabama Multiple Listing Service, MLS, Announces their Mobile Real Estate App, Powered by Smarter Agent
On December 7, 2011, The Huntsville Area Association of Realtors and North Alabama Multiple Listing Service announced the launch of their new public-facing Smarter Agent Free MLS Branded Mobile App.
The announcement highlighted the benefits of the MLS branded mobile app. The “mobile app works on standard phones and smart phones across all mobile carriers. With GPS locators, users can search by address, city or zip code to see property details for all homes for sale or rent in an area, including price estimated mortgage, features, maps, and photographs, among other things.”
They also spoke to the Refine Search feature which, “allows users to select a price range, property type and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. If there are additional questions or if a prospective buyer wants a tour, the “call” feature within the app connects the consumer to an agent by e-mail or cell phone.”
Julie Lockwoood, President of the North Alabama Multiple Listing Service stated, By providing their consumers with the ability to search all homes for sale 24 hours a day via their mobile device, the MLS has empowered their consumers to become an active participant in finding themselves their dream home, whether they are on the road, at a local coffee shop or nestled in at home.
Members also largely benefit from a publically facing MLS mobile app. Members too will have access to all homes for sale right at their finger tips. No longer will they need to call the office and wait for someone to look up listing information for them. Now, the member is empowered with the most up to date listing information, visible on all mobile decides, including tablets. Right then and there, a member can search an address or use the GPS feature to look up complete listing information without keeping their client waiting, providing instant gratification. Also, all calls from within the MLS app go directly to the listing agent. That means that your MLS is generating free leads to you, their member.
