One Successful Agent’s Tips on Using Her App to Impress Clients and Build Her Brand
Now that she has embraced using her very own personalized real estate agent mobile app and has shared it with her expansive network, Lori DiCesare gets so much referral business that she is (almost) turning it away.
“98% of my over 13.5 million sales volume (in 2019) is referral based, I’m not even kidding! After 20 years in real estate, my husband wants me to slow down, but I just can’t turn away referrals – it’s not in me!”
Lori is currently a real estate agent with Howard Hanna Real Estate. She joined the company 16 years ago because she was set to work with the #1 company in her market. “Howard Hanna is a premier company with a trusted household name and they always offer their agents the latest and greatest – like our new real estate app!”

Don’t Fear the Tools Your Brokerage Provides
“I am not necessarily a tech person but once I started to share my real estate app, I realized how easy it is for my clients to search and view properties right from their phone! Our office manager (Dottie Dupuy) is so supportive and smart. She frequently sends us information on how to better use our app, checks in with us regularly, and encourages us to use it – and I’m so happy I did!”
Lori likes to link her listings and virtual tours on Instagram.
The Agent Dashboard = Powerful Insights
“Utilizing my apps Agent Dashboard is my favorite feature so far. I am encouraging all of my clients to create their own account. This way, I can see all of the properties they are liking and saving. It gives me key insights to recommend the perfect properties to them from the start and cuts down on my search time.”
I Feel Confident Sharing My App
“I feel much more confident sharing my app than others that I have used in the past. I had tried one with terrible property data that was downright embarrassing! With my new HH app, my clients have been impressed, and it doesn’t require much effort on my part. I am a very busy solo agent, so I like that I can hit share right from the app to email or text a download link or listing right to my clients. In fact, I am getting ready to share it with someone as we speak.”
Use It as a Personal Touch
“I am not a huge social media agent. I like to focus more on real relationship building. I have loved sharing my app with my clients because it has a more personal touch. It is a nice complimentary service and I am providing them with a fun tool that keeps me current without being too ‘in their face’. Giving them something of value with the Howard Hanna logo and branding goes a long way in building client trust.”
Lori leaves us with some crucial advice, “As an agent your sphere of influence is everything. The perfect way to build that network is to become known in your community. For example, when my sons were playing sports I became the president of the sports network, and that in turn became my real estate niche. Moving forward I’m excited to see how combining my app with my already established network will expand my sphere even more!”
